Well, It's official: One of my adult plants (possibly my very first plant) Has died. (left picture) The far right WAY in the back. From beautifu and vibrant to (right picture) A sad, depressing little mushy twig that was beginning to harbor mold. (took care of that already)

I may not have cared for either the band of it's taste in lyrics but this interlude using a pair of dueting flutes was way too cool of a request to pass up.

and yes, if anyone is wondering, that is my livestock trailer I'm using as a makeshift drum. XD

Kalanchoe Care Chapter 5: Blooming Part 1

Alright, around the beginning of September, I decided it was time to embark on the oft' regarded 'difficult' task of making Kalanchoe bloom. Hang on to your trowels kids, there's a lot of ground to cover... no pun intended. :)

Alright, here's my latest! Sorry if it's a little late by all standards. -_-" I hope you all enjoy.

If the last part looks a little tossed together at the last minuet... that's because it is. I had asked for a little critiquing and was strongly advised to increase the duration of the accompaniment for the last leg of the song... and like any good jazz player, I seldom seem to manage to play the same thing twice... oy.

At least I got a take that I'm satisfied with.... and yet the first time you improv in a song is always the best... XD

Kalanchoe Care Chapter 4: Pests Cont.

Well, after around 11 days, I do believe I've thoroughly vanquished my 6 legged foes. I'm still misting them periodically as I find the odd lil' beastie but I really do think that Rubbing Alcohol and Water mickey is the way to go. :) 

Other than a few scabs on some of the young leaves due to the Aphids drilling for juice, My Kalanchoe are quite happy.

Well, it seems my Kalanchoe are a rife with adventure for me. Today's installment will be addressing: "Pests and how to get rid of them!"

Funny story behind the creation of this performance, I already had it made once in the fall of 2014 but then my ever faithful lap-top's hard drive after almost 10 years of service, DIED! Taking all my important things with it. Even after my computer wiz brother tried every trick he had, my fallen hard drive refused to yield my lost computer life back to me. :'(

So after a new hard drive and a new browser face lift, I spent the better part of the winter and spring amassing my stockpiles of movies, videos, music, recipes and vast stores of pictures. (Dragon Booster, One Piece and such)

But that still meant I was without my special request video, So it was time to go back to the 'ole ironing board and recreate it anew!
Sadly, like many musicians, I am seldom pleased with a final product.... but I think I'll let this one slide. Rocky and Ammy were so good after all. ♥ 

Hopefully with this rush of new songs to pratice, my skills can only continue to climb from here.

Alright! Here is my contest entry for The Ocarina Network 2015 "Satoru Iwata memorial" Contest.

I'm sure I could've picked a better day to film (no wind) but when the inspiration to perform hits, you can't ignore it. That and it was the only time I could book some help.

As far as why I chose Oath to Order, It sounds pretty darn melancholy already so what could possibly make it better? Play it for a funeral!.... okay, that was a little morbid but my logic still stands: it sound very fitting for bidding a final farewell to someone so why the heck not?

Kalanchoe Care Chapter 1: Basics.

I know this is WAY different from my usual Ocarina recordings but I guess I'm overly excited about some new "pets" I've acquired. (I'm only allowed one dog so I bring home unwanted plants instead...) I did post on Face Book about these little guys and a 3 year old Miniature Rose but I seem to be having the best luck with these Kalanchoe or "Flaming Katy".

Of course You-Tube won't let me monotize this one but at least the last few I did were so I really can't complain.... unless the viewing for this one goes through the roof, then I'll be really mad... X(

I'm still relatively pleased with how this one turned out but I just wish I could figure out why recording duet parts with my Blue Snowball Mic has less distortion between parts and more when I use my Camera. Oh well... 

Binks Sake from One Piece on Ocarina

Alright! I got Binks Sake done again! I just wanted to do a better job on this and why not? It's a really great song from a really, really great show!

On a side note, if you're confused about the "Rabbit out of my hat" skit at the end, it's a reference to Rocky and Bullwinkle..... 'cause I was on a R&B watching spree at the time. and if you're also wondering, I am seriously hating all the Rocky and Bullwinkle rebooting they're cranking out now. :( LONG LIVE THE CLASSICS! Okay, I'll stop rambling now.
Also yes, I had a lot of fun with that top-hat. I'm just glad I snagged it at Value Village thrift store when I did. ;)

The Gelfling Song On Ocarina Remake

I Finally did it! I made a remake of the Gelfling song that is MONETIZED!!! Oh, and it sounds better too. :3

Oy vey, was my Easter Weekend crazy, Fun but crazy. Was visiting some new friends but I'm really looking forward to going home.

I will say one thing, Filming in the snow is nice but my Dragon Tooth really hates when I do that. The condensation issue get's even worse and that's a real shame cause I LOVE my Dragon Tooth's tone. :/

Note to self: DT is a house only Ocarina unless it's summer.
